Quartzite
What is Quartzite?
Quartzite is a durable metamorphic rock primarily composed of quartz, one of the most common minerals in the Earth’s crust.
It forms through the metamorphism of quartz sandstone or igneous rocks, such as porphyry, under high heat and pressure.
Quartzite features a dense, granular structure where microscopic quartz grains fuse into a solid, often splintered or concave mass.
